About us

Hazmat Training was incorporated in December 1994. We have been operating for the last 29 years.

A pioneer in the industry of hazardous materials and dangerous goods training, we are a well sought after training provider in the fields of dangerous goods regulations, warehousing training and all other related subjects in the handling, storage and shipping of hazardous materials by road, sea and air.

Whether it is the UN Subcommittee of Experts' Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods—Model Regulations, the International Atomic Energy Agency's Regulations for the Safe Transport of Radioactive Materials or the ICAO's Annex 18 to the Convention on International Civil Aviation and in its Technical Instructions for the Safe Transport of Dangerous Goods by Air (Doc 9284 as amended) (Technical Instructions), the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations or the International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code for sea transport, the European ADR, among others, come to us for your training needs.

We also handle requests for customised courses in emergency response and other aviation subjects such as ATA Spec 300.

Location Map

HAZMAT TRAINING is located in the South-East of Singapore, near to the city as well as to the Changi Airport. There are good hotels (with affordable rates) within walking distance of our centre, where foreign participants can stay during their training period. Food is easily available 24hrs a day in fast food outlets like McDonalds as well as food-courts and coffee shops surrounding the vicinity.

Getting There

Our centre is easily accessible via public transports such as MRT (Mass Rapid Transit - Train) as well as Buses and Taxi. If you are coming from the Airport and carrying a light load, it may be economical to take the bus or MRT.

Driving

If you are driving, please note that SIMS AVE and CHANGI ROAD are one-way traffic. There are coupon parking lots available along the road sides. Malay Village (Geylang Serai Market GSM HDB MSCP) and Joo Chiat Complex also provide cash-card parking facilities. GSM car park can be accessed via Jalan Turi (on the left side) and Joo Chiat Complex car park can be accessed via Joo Chiat Road (travel down Changi Road, keeping left and once reaching Joo Chiat Complex, turn left into Joo Chiat Road and look out for the car park entrance on the left again).For further details please refer to the Singapore Online Street Directory.

Taxi

If you are taking a taxi from the Changi Airport, please note that there will be an Airport surcharge of SGD$3 (weekday) or S$5 (weekends) and there may also be peak period surcharges as well depending on the time when you take the taxi. The total cost of your journey from the airport to our centre, which will be based on the meter reading of distance travelled, will be approximately SGD$25 to SGD$30. Tipping is generally not necessary in Singapore, but it is at your own preference. You can request for a receipt of the taxi fare from the driver for your reference.

MRT

The nearest MRT to our centre is EUNOS EW7. Just follow the footsteps in our map above. From the MRT station, cross the traffic light at Sims Ave and take a short-cut through the HDB Housing blocks to reach Changi Road, then cross Changi Road to reach our centre. It is just a 10 minutes walk. If you are coming from the Changi Airport CG2 station, then remember to cross the platform at Tanah Merah EW4 station and board the West Bound train, then alight at the EUNOS EW7 station - refer to the MRT map extract below.

Bus

Accommodation for Foreign Participants

There are several good hotels in Singapore offering affordable rates with comfortable rooms and facilities.
